My client’s love of nature was at the heart of this design. Thinking about selecting pollen and nectar sources for the pollinating insects, birds and bats to feed from. A small habitat that encourages insects, will become a haven once the garden matures. Sadly, an aged Cratageous monogyna (Hawthorn) due to disease had to be removed, but happily I have included 3 new replacement trees for this garden all with relatively humble dimensions, adding colour and interest across the seasons, as well as habitat for birds.
Adding height to this small garden with an oak timber circular planter is also a handy perch whilst gardening or socialising, adding alternative seating is always welcome in a small space. The clay paver pathway adds some heritage-feel charm to this intimate space, which leads to a love-seat.. the perfect place to look back up the garden to enjoy the beautiful calm.
