Hello I’m Judi..
Driven by a lifelong passion for gardens, I have been designing beautiful, bespoke outdoor spaces since 2015, creating gardens that reflect the people who use them and the places they call home.
Growing up in North- East London, I trained in contemporary dance at the London Contemporary Dance School and The Laban Centre, later working as a freelance choreographer and dance teacher. Those years taught me about expression, control, rhythm and creating experiences that engage people emotionally, qualities that now shape the gardens I design.
Following redundancy from a corporate communications role, I found myself at a crossroads. An opportunity to help maintain a neighbour’s much-loved garden sparked a new career, combining my lifelong love of plants with my creative background. Wanting to move beyond maintenance and into design, I studied planting design and garden design at Capel Manor College and established my own garden design practice.
My Approach
Every garden is unique, and every design should respond to the people who use it.
I believe great gardens guide you through a space, creating a sense of flow, purpose and discovery. Whether it’s a large rural plot, a family garden, a contemporary outdoor space or a peaceful retreat, the same design principles apply: structure, balance, movement and connection.
I enjoy working closely with clients to understand how they want to live in their garden and then translating those aspirations into a beautiful, practical design. From initial concepts through to detailed construction drawings and planting plans, every stage is carefully considered.
Experience & Collaboration
My client’s gardens tend to be in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, South Lincolnshire and West Norfolk. My design portfolio is brimming with unique designs that I have created over the years.
To ensure designs are realised to a high standard, I collaborate with experienced BALI-registered landscapers and other specialists, including architects, surveyors and structural engineers when required. I also create animated garden design models, helping clients visualise their future garden before construction begins.
