Client brief:
Our Fairfield Park clients recently had their courtyard garden resurfaced with resin-bound aggregate and are now ready to add plants. They want their newly transformed courtyard garden to be low-maintenance, so choosing our courtyard planting design service is perfect for giving them exactly what they want.
We collaborated on plant choices and then we prepared a planting plan for our clients to consider. Clients wanted all the plant stock to grow either in pots or large planters. We have sourced a beautiful selection of ceramic pots and timber planters. Perfect for filling with grassy perennials and foliage plants brimming over the tops of the planters. The Phormium ‘Platts Black’ contrasts beautifully with the evergreen grass, Festuca glauca ‘Elijah Blue’.
This is a bold contemporary planting scheme, designed to contrast with the black garden fencing. The steel globe fire pit sits well within the succulents and ornamental stones, giving this courtyard garden an engaging focal point. We have used a combination of ornamental Caledonian pebbles and cobbles to add texture around the steel globe and they combine beautifully with the selection of succulents we’ve chosen.
We love designing transformational planting schemes. If your courtyard garden is not delighting you, then our Courtyard planting design service is for you!
